Trsteno is a village located ard 15 km from Dubrovnik up north the Dalmatian coast. It was once a summer residence of Dubrovnik aristocratic family Gozze (Gucetic) with long open air baroque pavilion, aqueduct and a baroque fountain. The whole estate is a big botanical garden/resort – Arboretum since Gozze family were the collectors off various plants and trees from all over the world, which was brought to Trsteno by many Dubrovnik seamen and merchants from 15th century onwards. The most famous Trsteno landmark are two giant Asiatic plane trees (Platane) which were brought and planted as seeds in 15th century and today give shade to the whole main square
			just next to the main magisterial road.
