I met Dolores Brbora last summer, because we were both working at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and immediately she seemed like a friendly, communicative and outgoing girl. I had no idea how creative she was as well. I noticed her posting pictures of the jewelry she was crafting on Facebook so I became interested.
I met with her recently when she showed me some of her pieces and this is what she told me about her work:
”My creations are all inspired by nature and fantasy worlds and creatures, sometimes combined to create a whimsical, unique wearable art. The idea behind my designs is that they are meant to be a fashion accessory yet they can stand as a single piece of hand-sculpted art. They are elegant and intricate yet wearable on everyday occasions. I started making dragons for fun around year and a half ago but many people supported me and loved what I did so I started selling them as well. I was blown away by how many people loved the style of my creations and wanted to own and wear them. The number available is limited because, sadly, they take such a long time to create. I can spend from several hours to several days on a single necklace, this happens because they are so detailed and after they are sculpted they have yet to be painted, baked and glazed. The material is polymer clay, quite light and somewhat flexible which makes it a perfect medium for my dragon necklaces. ”
I’m sure a lot of people will love her jewelry, and especially Game of Thrones fans! You can see her designs on her Facebook Page: Regnum Draconis. I can’t wait to see what she has planned for the future!
