So, Christmas is behind us, but there’s plenty of great events in Dubrovnik, that will surely make the rest of 2017 !
First things first, make sure you don’t miss out on traditional Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra concert tonight at Franciscan monastery or if you’re into jazz and evergreen, check out Sara & Jappa concert at Marin Drzic Theatre. Btw.Both events are starting at 8 PM so you better decide on time which one you want to attend! One thing you definitely shouldn’t miss is Christmas concert by Dubrovnik Brass Band that will be held at Fort Revelin starting at 7.30 PM. On 29th of December get ready for some good old rock n’ roll with Pips, Chips & Videoclips again at Marin Drzic Theatre with start at 8 PM ! More into tradition? Check out Christmas concert by Folklore Ensemble Lindo at Friars Minor church at 8 PM, the same day.
As the New Year approaches there will be even more of great concerts and events in Dubrovnik. One you should definitely not miss is the concert of popular band Frajle that will be held at Stradun with start at 9 PM on 30th of December. Continue your night with great sounds and join us at Revelin where Zeljko Joksimovic will perform. Zeljko is one of the most popular artist in the region with preformances all across Europe, and you will certanly love his music! Make sure you get your tickets on time! But if you’re more into classical music then make sure you find your seat at The Best works of great composers concert at St Saviour’s church with start at 8.30.
For the New Year’s Eve celebration itself, the citizens of Dubrovnik and their guests will be entertained by another great artist from the region – Dino Merlin, along with Pravila igre and Songkillers.
On the New Year’s Day, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will also traditionally perform at noon on Stradun. Also, in colaboration with the Valamar Lacroma Hotel, on 22nd December, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra prepared a Christmas concert together with three klapas from Dubrovnik: Ragusa, Subrenum and Kaše as well as the soloists Marija Kuhar Šoša, Stijepo Gleđ Markos and Đani Stipaničev.
The Winter Festival continues till January 6th, so enjoy some great winter street food while you still can! No matter which event you choose, we’re sure you’ll have great time in Dubrovnik.
