If you’re in Dubrovnik for a longer time, after you explore the Old City and everything that Dubrovnik has to offer, you’ll have some time for some cool daily trips.
One of the most interesting daily trips will be Mostar day tour from Dubrovnik.
This beautiful city is located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, about 2.30 hours car ride from Dubrovnik. Mostar was one of the most destroyed cities during the war, but now it’s definitely one of the most specific touristic destinations in Bosnia and Hercegovina.
If you decide to visit this beautiful city, here are few things that you just can’t miss!

WALK TROUGH THE OLD TOWN
When you arrive to Mostar you’ll probably easy find way to the Old town. Take a walk, explore all the antique boutiques and find your perfect, handmade souvenir from Mostar!

TRADITIONAL COFFEE IN MOSTAR
While walking you’ll find some great café shops where you can try traditional Bosnian ‘’Kahva’’ and that will be the best coffee you’ll ever try!

VISIT SOME MUSEUMS
Old town is full of museums, art galleries, old mosques and historical places – visit at least one of them!
My favorite one is museum with a war exhibition.

GET A REFRESHING DRINK AND SNACK IN A BAR
After some serious walking it’s time to have some refreshment. While walking around, you will notice some great bars with a spectacular views. My pick would be White bar – not only it has a great view but also – great service!
Nearby you can also find some places with traditional Bosnian meals.
*burek – it is a pastry made of think, flaky and usually filled by meat, cheese, spinach or sometimes potatoes.
* ćevapi – or ćevapčići is a grilled dish of minced beef meat. They are usually served with chopped onions, sour cream, kajmak cheese or ajvar.

DELICIOUS!

VIEW OF THE OLD BRIDGE
You’ve never actually been in Mostar if you didn’t take a picture of the view of the Old bridge. Old bridge hides a beautiful story and if you’re curious- just ask the locals.

TAKE A WALK IN THE NEW PART OF THE TOWN
If you explored the old part of the town, it’s time to visit the new part. Make sure you walk trough the promenade of Nikola Šubić Zrinjski, and visit the beautiful park nearby. You can enjoy the beautiful nature with some popcorn or candy cotton that you can find here.

TRY OUT SOME DELICIOUS SWEETS
In the new part of the town you can also find some great cake places like ‘Aldi’ , ‘Slastičarna Dora’ or ‘Pepi slatko’ . Make sure you try some traditional sweets, they are spectacular.

BEAUTIFUL SUNSET IN CALAMUS BAR
After all day of walking around, take a cab (or walk – if you still can) to the Calamus bar – a bar on the roof of the building where you can watch the sunset and see the hills and town from above.

Well, that’s enough for one day in Mostar! If you decide to stay more, and you probably will, pleasant locals will tell you what to see next! Have a safe trip!
