How did you fall in love with cooking ?
Since I was a kid, even as a ten-year-old, I knew I wanted to be a chef. Growing up in a family home, next to my mother and her fantastic meals, I realized that I wanted to do just that. I optioned for Tourism and hospitality highschool in Dubrovnik, majoring in cooking. After completing my highschool, I continued my education in the same direction and very soon I got an opportunity to work and learn form some of the world’s best chefs. I have been working professionally for 10 years, at some of the best Dubrovink’s restaurants.
How would you describe your style of cooking?
I’d say it’s Mediterranean. I love to work with fresh ingredients and domestic spices, which complement the dishes in a special way. I’m based on a local cousine and I always add my personal touch to every meal.
We are based on quality homemade foods, simply said, we cook without lies. Our guests recognize that and they’re happy to return.
Is there A Secret To A Successful Restaurant?
A successful restaurant needs hard-work and time. Everything needs to be just as important- the hospitality, the ingrediendts, what happens in the kitchen, the staff… When the team works together, there’s no doubt that restauran will be successful.
Do you have a signature meal or a dish you just enjoy preparing?
I enjoy preparing meals with homemade Adriatic shrimp. This ingredient can be prepared in many ways and is 100% usable. You can also get an excellent oil from the shell, that gives the dish an unforgettable aroma. Taste is perfect.
What dish should one try in Dubrovnik?
Any local , homemade, traditional dish made with a modern twist.
