Peppino’s Confectionery lover’s club concept comes from the Zagreb Kolektiv Market creative factory (Marita Bonačić, Katarina Perić and Iva Hrvatin), and it’s inspired by the motifs of a small sweet miracles workshop. The name comes from the famous Croatian cartoon series Professor Baltazar; Peppin is a curious fellow, professor Baltazar’s friend who wants to become a tourist guide. In order to become one, professor Baltazar has to teach him the wonders of the world. This Dubrovnik’s patisserie proudly carries his name while bringing you the Italian recipe for gelato in Croatian hands.
The interior of this lovely patisserie is visually divided into two areas. The factory look dominates the impressive ceiling thanks to the custom-made copper tube construction, which also serves as an industrial lighting, evoking the atmospheric nature of the old-school European pastry shops.
The entrance zone, completely covered in white porcelain wall tiles, also features a view of the ice cream display and it leaves all the true ice-cream lovers breathless.
Looking for the real creamy gelato? Well, this is the only place in Dubrovnik to have it. We promise; you’ve never tasted anything like this before… We couldn’t decide between Yogo Strawberry, Choco Oreo, Caffe Latte and Pisatacchio…The choice is difficult, but you can’t go wrong with any flavour from Pepino’s offer. For those who eat healthy, there’s a fabulous selection of delicious organic, gluten-free gelato. Great news isn’t it?
The location of this cool place couldn’t be more ideal. Peppino’s Confectionery lovers’ club is located in the very heart of the Old city, at Ulica od Puča 9, so you can’t miss it.
The pastry shop is always full, and you can spot the long lines of costumers looking for this first-class summer refreshment waiting in front of the store.
